Ethnic Albanian Hasan Abazi, who was arrested at the Konculj administrative crossing, has been remanded in custody for a month, the Higher Court in Vranje says. Abazi’s defense counsel Mladen Vasic has also confirmed the information. Ethnic Albanian remanded in one-month custody “He was remanded in custody based on Gnjilane District Court’s decision from 2005,” he explained and added that his client was suspected of espionage. The envisaged penalty for the crime is at least ten years in prison. Kosovo media have reported that “Abazi was allegedly revealing classified information to NATO in 1999”.
